X-Forum 2 Beta Preview

SourceForge.net hosts the beta preview of X-Forum 2 developped by www.codingdomain.com.

This demo allows you to post topics, reply and use the new style private message (pm) system. This PM system is under contruction, but it gives you an idea..

Note that, some things look 'too much' like X-Forum 1.6 now, but that will change. Functionality like polling, pm-quota, multiple-admins, topic-summary below reply-writing, multiple random signatures, have to be implemented yet!

Meanwhile, a lot has changed. The forum uses template packs, INI-files for all settings and language entries. All forum input is checked. (you can't enter a name of 3kB) All code is re-written into an object-orientated style This object-orientated code allows CGI programs at your website to interact with it. Making a SSI-include to display the recent topics, or newest members at your home-page can be done with 10 lines of code!! A small example (with 100 lines of code) is included here aswell.
